Each piece is individually created by hand from start to finish and small variations in form and color are to be expected and embraced as part of what make these pieces so unique. All items are food, microwave, and dishwasher safe, unless noted otherwise. Hand washing is recommended to ensure the longevity of the pieces.

How can I purchase pottery from you?

I make pottery in small batches, but I am constantly updating my website and will post on Instagram when I am back in stock in something that is sold out. If you see an item you like that is sold out, feel free to shoot me a message and I will do my best to move it up my to-do list! Additionally, I sometimes pop-up at in-person market events, and I’ll always keep my website and Instagram updated with these sale opportunities.

How is shipping calculated?

The shipping fees you’ll see at checkout are an estimate generated by Shopify. Shopify integrates with shipping carriers (like USPS, UPS, FedEx) to calculate shipping costs at checkout based on the order details (weight, dimensions, destination)

Do you take commissions?

If you have a customization request please reach out and let me know, we might be able to work something out. Because I work out of a shared studio space, the time to ideate, test and create the custom piece will vary and may take over a month to complete and ship.

Ready to Ship items will typically be shipped within 5 business days.

RETURNS

The handmade nature of our pieces means some variations will occur but we do our best to match the measurements and images shown on our website. We recommend reading the dimensions and descriptions listed on our website carefully before ordering. No returns are available, except in the unlikely event of damaged items. If you receive a damaged item, please reach out to me at Jonathan@funktionalceramics.com so I can help! I’ll provide further instructions and begin the process of getting a replacement piece to you as soon as possible. If your order arrives damaged, we'll need photos of the damaged item, as well as the box and shipping label.
